• LEISURE & JOIE is part of the Stripe’s Climate Initiative. 1% of each of our sales go toward supporting projects that remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere. In partnership with theGoodAPI, EarthLungs Reforestation Foundation, Veritree, and Plastic Bank, 2 trees are planted and 10 plastic bottles are removed from the ocean for each order place directly on our site.

We have a responsibility to leave a better planet for future generations.

Before Leisure & Joie came to be, our world was hospitality — long days, late nights, constant motion. We curated and created beautiful experiences for others, often at the expense of our own well-being. Over time, we felt the cost.

Burnout has a way of quieting joy, dulling creativity, and disconnecting from yourself. What if life wasn’t something to collapse into after the work was done? What if it could be felt — even in the middle of it all?

When the pandemic slowed the world, it offered space to reconsider what success truly meant. Health — physical, mental, emotional — could no longer sit at the margins. Slowness felt necessary. Beauty felt restorative.

Leisure & Joie emerged from that shift — a quieter way of living and working. A belief that our environments influence our energy, our clarity, our capacity to show up well.

In January 2025, after the Eaton Canyon fire, we found ourselves beginning again. The perspective it brought was simple and steady: living well is not indulgent.

It is essential. It is a daily practice. It is by design.

We are here because life is not meant to be endured until the weekend. It is meant to be inhabited — gently, fully, even in the midst of work.
