Kindness is free; easy to give and receive. Everyone is going through something.
This year has been quite challenging for so many. Families (being separated), restaurants, inflation, fires/natural disasters - pick a theme and you’ll find a group of people having a hard time.
Empathy is important. If you are one of the people who has had a fortunate year despite so much going on around you, be grateful. So many have lost loved one to illness, suicide, lost homes, etc. It is important to keep all of those things in mind as you walk through life these days. Do what you can to make someone’s day a little brighter when you can.

Mental health is a very important part of your overall health. Statistically, the holiday season, while generally thought to be “the most wonderful time of the year”, is actually a very trying time for so many.
Most suicides occur during this time of year. Taking care of yourself mentally is one of the kindest acts of self-love.
Allow others that space to care for themselves, as well.
The most happy people you know, might be suffering. No one ever truly knows what is going through another’s mind and heart. Be kind. Not everyone has the “Hallmark/Lifetime” picturesque life.

Please remember that everyone you encounter - grocery store workers, restaurant workers, etc. is a person.
Being respectful and kind shouldn’t be very hard and yet, the holiday season comes around, and it seems people forget. Interestingly enough, both the best and absolute worst of humanity is constantly on display.
Tip well, forgive mistakes, etc. Have compassion… we are all just out here doing our best.
As a small business owner, it has been so tough to recover from the January losses. So many others have felt the same, worse even. Still, with our Community of customers, our aligned vendors, it has been a testament of hope to just not give up in the face of such adversity.
There are some exciting things coming in 2026 and we wish all of us another opportunity to have hope for an incredible New Year.
