MAKE ROOM FOR MORE

making space

Making space isn't always a physical process. Sometimes, it's an internal one - a quiet shift in what we choose to give our time, attention, and energy to.

Committing to this internal shift, can open you up to more… more life, health, creativity, connection, experiences, and our favorite, leisure.

Giving way for more to enter, really just means clearing away what no longer fits.

You’ll likely notice it first as a little friction.

Change has a way of doing that. We may feel excited by what’s ahead, a little fearful of what we’re leaving behind, or simply unsure of what comes next.

There’s no right way to feel about it. It’s all part of making way for more.

IT IS NOT THAT WE HAVE A SHORT TIME TO LIVE, BUT THAT WE WASTE A LOT OF IT.
— SENECA, STOIC PHILOSOPHER

decide what goes

How will you know what goes? That "yes" that doesn't quite feel like a yes tells you everything you need to know.

That yoga package you purchased - get rid of it or see if you can transfer it to someone else.

Yes, health and movement is a priority but if yoga isn’t something you’re enjoying… let it go… pick up that cycling class you’d rather try.

Saying “yes” to drinks after work when you’d rather go home and literally watch paint dry (lol)… well, just say, “No, thank you!”. No one is even going to bat an eye, and if they do - that's theirs to work out.

When you stop choosing or doing things you aren’t aligned with, you’ll find you have more room for the things that are.

life gets lighter

Responsibilities will still be there. Unexpected challenges will still emerge. But when you stop giving quite so much of your time and energy to things that no longer feel aligned, something begins to shift.

The heaviness of expectation lifts.

Suddenly you’re free to explore things you had only thought about before.

You may find yourself feeling a sudden surge in energy, of creativity, and hopefulness.

Yes, cleaning and decluttering certainly have a place in freeing up mental space, but so do these intangibles.

Sometimes, the physical objects aren’t in our way, but our own thoughts about what we are “supposed” to be doing and the weight of the expectations of others.

Open your mental capacity for more…

OUR LIFE IS FRITTERED AWAY BY DETAIL. SIMPLIFY, SIMPLIFY, SIMPLIFY!
— HENRY DAVID THOREAU, AMERICAN WRITER, PHILOSOPHER

notice what stays

You made space and now your mind sees MORE… beauty, more ideas, less limitations.

More attention.

More energy.

More time.

More creativity.

More pleasure.

More of the people, places, and experiences that actually matter to you.

Just as we curate what comes into our shop, you can curate what comes into your life.

Does that mean you control every single thing that happens to you, around you, etc.? No - that isn’t realistic.

Be more intentional with what you can do and experience.

Ask yourself what you can clear, simplify, and release so more of what you want can enter your life.

Making room isn’t always about having more… it’s about making room for more of what makes your life feel good.
