THE ONLY CONSTANT IS CHANGE.
A few weeks into the New Year and things may already seem less shiny and new…
The surge in feelings of hope and fresh possibility that were there New Year’s Eve as the countdown moved toward midnight, has worn out for many of us and things are just… “back to normal”.
But guess what? “Normal” doesn’t have to be a bad thing… Your “normal”, your baseline can continuously IMPROVE.
Any day, at any time, you are free to reset, regroup and keep going!
COMMIT TO NEW POSSIBILITIES.
Whether you are (still - ha!) participating in Dry January (like we are), wanting to exercise more (or at all!), drink more water, sleep better, etc… you CAN. And don’t beat yourself up if you haven’t kept up at all or at least not like you thought you would.
Normal can be a cycle of doing and then not doing… Consider it REST.
Absolutely no one is perfect and though self-discipline is subjective, even the best at it can revert “back to normal”.
SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS.
USE THE “BUDDY SYSTEM” - Don’t go it alone… enlist a friend. You only hang with like-minded people anyway, right?
KEEP YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE - If you’re going solo, track your progress! Journal about it, even treat yourself (celebrating small wins matters) as you keep up!
DON’T FALL APART - If things aren’t going the way you thought… NBD - start again tomorrow.
