SLOW DOWN, MOVE FORWARD

spend time in nature

Do you ever notice how just taking a walk outside boosts your mood and how just being in nature seems to bring you an almost instant sense of peace?

The slow pace of nature seems to gently force us to slow down and unless you’re in an actual race, white water rafting in a fast-paced river, or something of that nature, slowing down is a good thing.

HUMAN NATURe says GO FAST

It is in our nature as humans to want things and want them NOW.

Love, success, money - all of it and NOW please!

You order something online today and wished it was delivered yesterday right?

As the saying goes - Good things come to those who wait.

ISN’T IT FUNNY HOW DAY BY DAY NOTHING CHANGES, BUT WHEN WE LOOK BACK EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT.
— C.S. LEWIS, BRITISH WRITER

slow progress, still forward

It is certainly wonderful to have an energized, sense of urgency for our goals in life.

Aligning that zest with the much calmer, slower pace of time itself, highlights the reality that patience and the role of timing in our lives, allow us to pause, thinking things through a bit.

When we allow slowness in, we can then assess whether our actions and choices are aligning with our desired outcomes. If they are, proceed, if not - recalibrate.

Either way, you are MOVING FORWARD.

everything in its time

Timing is individual.

As humans, we tend to want to compare certain aspects and benchmarks of life.

Things like graduations, weddings, buying a home, having children… we tend to compare the when, how, etc. of those things and can struggle if our timelines seem stuck in stasis and everyone else’s seem to be moving full steam ahead.

The truth is, every single person has their unique blueprint, just the way each flower blooms at the exactly right time…

NATURE DOES NOT HURRY, YET EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED.
— LAO TZU, CHINESE PHILOSOPHER

Next time you’re outside, stop to feel how vast it is. Enjoy it. Nature is peaceful.

Relax and MARVEL at the world and… take your time…

You’re on YOUR way.
